Farewell 2024!
Well, here we are. The end of the year. I had a lot of ideas that may be used in the future for my end of year posts. But I ran out of time. I couldn’t chase down any lists of anything I partook in this year. Sure, there’s apps that help with music, games, even books read. I just don’t got it in me. Those may be in future years editions of this last post of the year, but we just aren’t gonna get to it. I’m sitting on my lunch break on the day this is supposed to go out just trying to reach the finish line for the year.
It’s nothing elaborate, nothing really working on my craft. It is a post though. It’s consistency. So I’m gonna chalk it up as a win. I’ll take any of those heading into next year, as the last few months have been a struggle and flat out exhausting. I’m sure I’ll have more to say in the newsletter next week. In any case, I didn’t want to have that feeling like I missed posting something. So here we are, with me typing mid bite.
Since it’s year end, I just wanted to thank you for subscribing, whether you already had, or just did as you stumbled upon this. I’ve got plans for more stories and adventures ahead next year, and we’ll see if my first child’s arrival will disrupt all of them. If so, and let’s be honest there will be disruption, it’ll be the greatest kind.
ALSO today is the last chance at the for paid subscription life discount, if you’re wanting to financially support this career I’m chasing. There’s no difference in content between free and paid subscribers, and if that ever changes there will be ample notice (and probably another opportunity for a discount if any changes like that happen). I know, sales Kyle isn’t as much fun, but I had to throw one more mention about it out there.
I’ll leave you with my five favorite posts of the year to revisit. I’ve got a little secret, they’re everything new I wrote. Next year will be harder to narrow down.
At number five, a short little story about a fight at a bar.
At number four, a little early cybernetic era gamble.
At number three, the decision to add a new chapter to the adventures of Cale Rider (but read the first one too).
My second favorite was posted just last week, because of how much fun I had with the concept. Gonna need to think way earlier to match next Christmas.
My favorite story I posted this year was a simple story about the greatest adventure a small creature couldn’t even comprehend.
Let me know which one is your favorite, and have a great and safe New Year!
Until next year, caffeinate to the moon!
Kyle
